Panchayat polls: 3.5% votes cast in District Kupwara

Srinagar: A total of 3.5 percent votes were polled in District Kupwara in its five blocks including Keran , Ramhal, Tarathpora, Teetwal and Tangdar upto 9 am, officials said on Saturday.

According to officials a total number of 1987 votes were cast, including 1216 male and 871 female voters.

Officials said that uptill 10 AM Gurez had  65 votes casts out of 364 i.e 1.78%, for Baktoor it was 5.4% at 9am and for
Tulail it was 182 votes out of 4989 cast i.e 3.65%.

In Tehsil Gund in District Ganderbal total number of votes cast in ward 1, 2, 4, and 6 were 17 , till 9 am.

“11 votes polled at ward no 5 and 6 Mastan Gurez up to 9 am,” an official said.
