Two youth detained during nocturnal raid in Lolab, locals allege Army vandalised property

Kupwara: Government forces  have detained two youth of Sever Thandipora area of Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and allegedly vandalized the property during nocturnal raid in the area.

Local sources said that government forces raided several houses in Sever Lolab and detained two youth from the area.

The arrested youth were  identified as  Abass Shafi Malla S/o Mohd shafi Malla and Ishfaq Ahmad Malla S/o Gh Mohd Malla  both residents of Sever Thandipora  Lolab.

Residents of the area blocked Kupwara-Warnow road  demanding immediate release of the detained youth.

Locals alleged that Army vandalised property in the area and when protests over harassment broke out Army resorted to aerial firing.

Meanwhile SDM  Lolab reached the spot and assured protesters that administration will look into the matter.
