Bandipora: Beacon officials have said that men and machinery are on the job to open the Bandipora-Gurez road that has been closed for the vehicular traffic post snowfall in the area.

The officials said that after massive snowfall from last three days, they have deputed their men to remove the blockage.

“Five dozers, two payloaders , snowcutters and BRO personnel involved in snow clearance operation being done from Tragbal, Kanzalwan and Dawar locations to open Bandipur Gurez road at the earliest,” an official said.

He however added that their personnel are working under tiring conditions as possibility of snow avalanche hovers the area.
“Efforts are on to open the road by today but date of completion is now likely tomorrow,” he said.
