Jammu: Authorities in Jammu division of the state of Jammu and Kashmir have lifted day curfew in Kishtwar district, but night curfew will remain imposed as a precautionary measure.

According to officials the decision to lift day curfew was taken after improvement in situation.

Curfew was imposed in the district last Thursday following the killing of BJP state secretary Anil Parihar, 52, and his brother Ajeet Parihar, 55, by suspected militants.
An official was quoted in media reports saying day curfew  has been lifted in Kishtwar, though night curfew will continue.
