Advisor Kumar reviews situation in Kishtwar, asks SIT to expedite investigation into BJP leader, brother’s killing

Kishtwar: Advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar on Saturday visited Kishtwar and convened a joint meeting with top level officers Civil Administration, Police, Army and CRPF to review the present Law and Order situation in District.
He was accompanied by Principal Secretary, Home, RK Goyal, DGP, Dilbagh Singh, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma.
IGP Jammu SD Singh Jamwal, DIG (DKR) Rafiq-ul- Hassan, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana, SSP Kishtwar Rajinder Kumar Gupta, GoC Delta Force, CO CRPF and other top level officers were present in the meeting.
The Advisor instructed the officers of security agencies to ensure the sufficient deployment of security personnel at all sensitive and hyper-sensitive places in the district.
The Advisor instructed the SIT, constituted to probe into the killing of BJP Leader, Anil Parihar and his brother Ajit Parihar, headed by ASP Kishtwar, Prabeet Singh Parihar, to expedite the investigation process and complete the investigation as early as possible.
Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana briefed the chair about the current law and order situation of the district.
Kumar also instructed the concerned officers to sternly deal with those who create any kind of trouble in the area.
Later, Legislators Sunil Sharma, Bali Bhagat, G.M Saroori, Firdous Ahmed Tak also met with the Advisor and demanded early investigation in the killing of duo brothers.
The representatives of Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Kishtwar and Shoura Majlis Committee, Kishtwar also apprised the Advisor about the incident and assured the chair for maintaining communal harmony, peace and brotherhood under all circumstances.
Meanwhile, area wise curfew relaxation was given in Kishtwar town from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm and then from 3:45 pm to 04:45 pm. During the period, the situation remained quite under control. People came out of their houses and purchased essential commodities.
