As winter sets in power woes begin, Bandipora areas reel under darkness

Bandipora: Residents of Watapora Qazipora, Kaloosa and its adjoining areas are up in arms over unscheduled Power wer Cuts, asked Power Development Department that why dont we Get Power Supply Properly, which they required as People have been facing immense hardships due to the non-availability of Electricity in the Vicinity.

Residents argued that Bandipora has been ignored by all the previous regimes and has become politically orphan since 90’s, added that Kashmir we faces discrimination in power sector. The government provides uninterrupted power supply to the Jammu, but doesn’t provide same to the valley, it is totally Sheer Injustice with us, they added.

Aggreived residents said that they are living in a miserable condition due to the erratic power supply since long time. People has been plunged into darkness. Area receive power supply only for few hours with frequent cuts. There is darkness all around in the evenings as electric supply is switched off without any notice, Residents added.

The Aggreived Residents have alleged that Power Development Department doesn’t ensure regular power supply to them, added that We pay our electricity dues on time, Despite that Power Development Department (PDD) fails to provide us Proper electricity.

Our exams are going on and due to shortage of Power Supply we have to face a lot of hardships. We have been repeatedly asking authorities to redress our problems; but to no avail, A Student from Gulshanabad area said.

Residents Appealed Power Development Department to ensure Proper Power Supply at the Earliest.
