Chief cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq took to twitter to condemn the authorities decision to keep the grand mosque closed.

“Its for the third consecutive time that congregational prayers have not be allowed and this year Jamia has been closed for 16 times. It’s 20th day of house detention. At one hand target killing of our youth is being perpetrated and on the other hand religious rights are being curbed. Even a protest against brutalities is not being allowed,” Mirwaiz tweeted.
