DGP sanctions welfare loan over Rs.1.17 crore for 125 police personnel

SRINAGAR : Director General of Police Shri Dilbag Singh IPS today sanctioned welfare loan in favour of 122 personnel of J&K Police. Welfare relief has also been granted to three needy personnel. The amount has been sanctioned out of Central Police Welfare Fund.

          As per the orders issued Rs.1,17,20,000/- has been sanctioned as welfare loan in favour of 122 personnel and the loan will be recovered in monthly instalments. Welfare loan is sanctioned in favour of J&K Police personnel to meet the expenses of different natures including self treatment, treatment of dependants, education of wards, self marriage, marriage of wards, circumcision of son or yognovpit of son.

          Director General of Police, Shri Dilbag Singh IPS has also granted scholarship in favour of 172 meritorious wards of police personnel of class 10th who secured 80% and above marks during the academic session 2017-18. The scholarship of Rs.8.28 lakh has been granted out of Central Police Welfare Fund.

          Rs.6000/- each has been granted to 70 meritorious wards for securing above 90% marks in the examination and Rs.4000/- each has been granted to 102 meritorious wards for securing 80% and above marks. The students who have been granted scholarships include 72 girls.

          Police Headquarters has been sanctioning scholarships and rewards for wards of martyred and serving Police personnel under different schemes to boost their morale.
