Srinagar:  Home Minister of India Rajnath Singh has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh  to the kin of civilians that were killed in an explosion near encounter site in  Laroo area of Kulgam on October 21 after the gunfight between militants and government forces.

The announcement was made by Singh while addressing a presser here in Srinagar, he was on a day long visit to Kashmir.
Ten people including seven civilians were killed in Kulgam, that has lead to an outrage in valley and Global condemnation poured in.
Valley shutdown yesterday over the deaths and today JRL had called for a Lal chowk chalo.
