Private schools partners, contributors in education: Secy School Education

Srinagar: Secretary School Education Department, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, today said private schools are partners and contributors of the Government in imparting education to students.

The Secretary was speaking at a meeting with the representatives of Private Schools Coordination Committee (PSCC) here. Director, School Education Kashmir/ Jammu, Special Secretary School Education and Director Samagra Shiksha were also present.

A detailed discussion was held on the memorandum of demands submitted by the Committee related to fee structure, registration/ affiliation, state education policy, educational calendar, quality of books, exchange of resources and imparting training of the teaching staff of private schools through State Institute of Education and DIETS.

On the demand PSCC to make the registration system hassle-free, the Secretary said that all efforts shall be made to ease out the bottle-necks/ formalities wherever required.

He appealed the PSCC to adhere to the laid down norms and also actively participate in giving their inputs for developing a vibrant educational system.
