231 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, 2 Deaths In Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, Jul 6: Jammu and Kashmir reported 231 new covid-19 cases while two more persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.

They said 83 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 169 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 317481.

Regarding the fatalities, they said, one death each has been reported from Jammu division and Kashmir Valley respectively, taking the fatality count to 4345.

Providing the district-wide details, they said, Srinagar reported 63 cases, Baramulla 9, Budgam 14, Pulwama 30, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 6, Bandipora 6, Ganderbal 6, Kulgam 10, Shopian 1, Jammu 15, Udhampur 10, Rajouri 6, Doda 21, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 10, Poonch 10, Ramban 4 and Reasi 7.

Moreover, they said, 421 more COVID-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours—169  from Jammu Division and 252 from Kashmir.  So far 309554 patients have recovered, leaving active cases at 3582—1578 in Jammu and 2004 in Kashmir.

There was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today and thus the cumulative number of confirmed cases remained to 30 in J&K.
