Srinagar: The Srinagar youth have taken a unique initiative to serve the people at their doorsteps in opening up a food business in the summer capital of the state.
The three Srinagar youth: Amir Abbas of Lal Bazar and Moshin Ali Gazi of Hawal, and a girl Saima Shafi have opened up a food business unit in Srinagar, titled ‘Bata Ha Woat’ (Here comes the food).
The educated youth from Srinagar have offered these exclusive services to provide food to employees of corporate as well as private sector at a set time.
Amir holds an IT degree from MD University, Faridabad, Saima Shafi is currently pursuing a B.Ed from Kashmir University, whereas Moshin completed his graduation from Islamia College Srinagar.
At present, the trio has opened up their offices in Hawal and Khanyar, where they cook food from their actual kitchens of their homes, according to Amir.
Talking to INS, Amir said that this initiative was aimed for the wellbeing of people. “We want to serve people at their doorsteps,” he said.
He added that since January they were planning to open this food business outlet in the valley but after going through a hectic procedure, the unit was made operational on September 29 this year.
“In just 10 days, we have got 30 orders. People are quite supportive as they are getting what they wish for,” he said while adding that the trio in the initial stage has set a goal to get daily 100 orders.
“We have given it a Kashmiri touch and we are planning to add more varieties to it. As of now ‘Maji-u- hind athuk battei’ is a huge success for gourmands yet, we are in a process of expanding our horizon in this context.
“ A lot of efforts have been done to improve the services and yet a lot needs to be done in an endeavor to make it a real hit,” he said.
Amir, who is also running Valley basket: an online shopping business outlet, was launched a year ago, where he sells groceries and other things online.
He said that ‘Bata Ha Woat’ is in the initial stage, once the target is achieved, their units will be opening up in other districts as well.
For the readers information at Bata Ha Woat’ they are serving veg lunch per order at Rs 80 and non-veg at Rs 130.
Finally, they are appealing to people of Kashmir for their support in an endeavor to provide best possible services within their set time at their doorsteps.
