INS Monitoring Desk: Imran Ali–A serial killer in Pakistan,convicted of several killings and ,the rape and murder of Zainab a seven –year-old girl in the nearby city of kasur was hanged to death on Wednesday at a prison in Lahore reports Dawn .
He was executed this morning in Kol Lokhpat Central Jail in the presence of both Magistrate Adil Sarwar, the girl’s father while the girl’s uncle was also present in jail.
Imran Ali’s brother was also present along with two of his friends. An ambulance was also present during the hanging.
The incident had sparked outrage and protests across the country following the recovery of the child’s body from a trash heap a week after she went missing in January.
