In a bizarre incident one year old child died as hospital refused to conduct a CT scan for his father was shot of Rs 50 for the test.
The incident happened in Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) on Sunday in Jharkhand were the boy was brought as he had fallen on his head.
The child has been identified as Shyam Kumar.
According to NDTV report, CT scan costs is Rs. 1,350, Shyam’s father Santosh Kumar had Rs. 1,300.
Shyam’s father phoned a friend to lend him money, by the time he managed Rs 50, the child had died.
Santosh had requested to conduct the scan but was refused by the lab staff, reports added.
