Militant injured in Pulwama admitted in SMHS hospital

Srinagar: A militant, who was injured in an encounter with government forces in Babgund area of Pulwama has been admitted in SMHS hospital here, police sources said. They identified him as Showkat Ahmad and said that he was brought to hospital by some unknown men and women and his name in the hospital registry has been mentioned as Bashir Ahmad. The police, they said, has taken cognizance and further investigation has been taken up. “The militant is presently being operated upon by the doctors,” they said. Showkat was injured in the gunfight in Pulwama in which one militant Shabir Ahmad Dar alias Shabir Maali was killed while their associate Zahoor Ahmad Thakur, a former army soldier escaped.   There is no formal confirmation so far. emerging story, further details awaited.
