Locals said a minor boy, Rahil Amin Dar (13) son of Mohammed Amin Dar, a resident of Astanpora Redwani was arrested by forces three days back.

They said that forces raided the locality late night on Friday and detained the 7th class student from his house along with his cousin, Mohammed Aslam Dar (20).

The father of the detained boy questioned police action. “Why are minor’s being questioned?” he asked.

Nocturnal raids have become a norm here in this Kulgam area since an Army camp was established here last Sunday, locals said, adding that more than a dozen youth have been arrested since then.

SSP Harmeet Singh said that both were called to the police station for “mere questioning.”
