Awantipora: Casual employees of Public health engineering (PHE)  along with land donors on Friday protested in Awantipora area of Pulwama on demanding their pending salaries be released soon.
Carrying placards and banners, protesters raised slogans against lackadaisical approach of government towards plight of their employees. \
They said that from the last 24 months, the casual labourers and land donors have been left to fend for themselves. “Our families are suffering but the inhuman approach of authorities seems not ending. Don’t they have an ounce of humanity left in them? How do they enjoy with their families when they know that due to them so many children are suffering,” they said.
“Concerned authority must release our wages at an earliest so that the employees could heave a sigh of relief,” a casual labour Mohammad Yousuf said.
They requested authorities particularly to Governor J&K to look into the matter as soon as possible.
