Petrol bomb hurled at Congress candidate’s residence in Hajin

Bandipora: Unidentified persons on Friday hurled a petrol bomb at the residence of a Congress candidate, contesting upcoming Urban Local Body polls, in Hajin town of this north Kashmir district.
The candidate whose residence was attacked has been identified as Irshad Ahmed Wani affiliated with Congress.
When contacted, SSP Bandipora confirmed the incident and said that candidate who is contesting ULB Election affiliated with Congress party was attacked with petrol bomb. However he escaped unhurt and no loss of life was reported in the incident. “We have already sent our team to the spot and further details are awaited,” he added.
