Jammu: Engineers use sub standard material for macadamisation, suspended, inquiry launched

Jammu:  District Development Commissioner Showkat Aijaz Bhat, ordered suspension of two Junior engineers posted with PMGSY department for using substandard material.

As per the district administration, action against the JEs was taken on a public complaint about use of substandard material for macadamisation of Karol-Kumet road.   The erring officials have been attached in the office of Xen PMGSY till the report of detailed inquiry by ADC as ordered by DDC is received.

 “On the directions of the DDC, ADC,   Dr. Basharat Hussain inspected the site and submitted videographic/ photographic evidences  of the work done by the department on kilometre number 10 (RD-500 to 1000) and (9500 to 10000),” officials said.

  Meanwhile, The ADC has been asked to conduct a detailed enquiry into the matter and submit   report within 15 days for further action against the defaulters.

          The DDC also sought explanation form AEE PMGSY in this regard.
