JAMMU: A joint team of Revenue, JDA & Police launched anti encroachment drive here on the left bank of Tawi in Rangoora and Majeen villages near Golf Course, Sidhra.

 “During the anti encroachment drive over 200 Kanal of prime land was retrieved and 22 Pacca Structures, 04 temporary sheds, 13 boundary walls and 35 plinths were demolished,” an official said.

The joint operation was headed by ADC (Law & Order), Jammu Rashpal Singh along with SP Rural, Jammu, Director Land Management, JDA and Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jammu under the overall supervision of the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Ramesh Kumar.

 According to officials the move was part of sustained drive launched by district administration to remove encroachments on State, JDA, Forest, Water bodies and Common land. The District Administration has asked offenders involved in illegal encroachment to voluntarily vacate the land otherwise action warranted under law shall be taken against them.
