Following students protests DSEK asks Schools, coaching centers to complete syllabus one week prior to Board exams

Srinagar: Directorate of School Education Kashmir Monday directed the private schools and coaching centres to arrange extra classes for the completion of syllabus, if needed and ensure that 100% syllabi is completed one week prior to the commencement of the Board Exams of 10th, 11th and 12th.

According to DSEK spokesperson Director School Education Kashmir,G.N. Itoo also asked the school administrators to give a time of at least one week to the students for the preparation of examination.

“There will be no compromise for any lapse in completion of syllabus. Arrange the examination counselling sessions for the students on the pattern of Government Schools to guide the students, address their grievances and to reduce their mental stress,” Itoo told the schools.

DSEK had called a meeting of educational institutions following complaints of the students from few private schools and registered coaching centres.
