Deputy Commissioner Kargil, immediately requested Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and Commissioner Civil Aviation J&K to request Air Force to launch an air rescue,” Director Disaster Management Amir Ali said.

He said that the concerned Embassy also approached Ministry of Defence for clearance. “The air rescue was launched today morning and both the tourists were airlifted by Indian Air Force Chopper to Leh, where they are admitted and are undergoing treatment,” Ali said.
