Bandipora: A complete shutdown is being observed on 5th straight day in North Kashmir’s Bandipora township here to mourn the killing of five militants in a gunfight here.

All shops, business establishments, and private offices are closed while public transport also is off the roads.

Schools and degree college is also closed.

Pertinently five militants were killed in a fierce gun battle with Govt Forces in Sumlar area of Bandipora District.

Tensions erupted again after Hizbul Mujahideen claimed,  counter to forces that killed were foreigners,  all the dead were local including two from North Kashmir.

HM had issued a statement to news gathering agency giving names and addresses of the killed militants.
