Govt announces one month additional salary to employees on poll duty

Srinagar: The state government on Tuesday announced that employees who will attend the poll duties in the upcoming local bodies election will be given one month additional salary.
The announcement was made by Chief Secretary V R Subrahmanyam on Tuesday during a presser.

“Employees who perform poll duty will get additional one month salary,” he said.
The Chief Secretary also said that adequate security will be provided to candidates contesting upcoming polls
“300 hotel rooms have been booked in Srinagar for candidates and similar arrangements made in south and north Kashmir,” CS said.
The CS also said that the government is going to make a ‘substantial hike to salaries of SPOs in next few days’.
“The resignations compared to total number of SPOs, who are above 30,000 is negligible,” he added
