Sources confirmed that two militants have been killed  but bodies have not been retrieved from the gunfight site yet.

“There are apprehensions that more militants might be hiding in the area. Operation is ongoing,” sources confided.

Sources said that Army’s 14 RR, SOG wing of J&K police and CRPF launched joint Cordon and Search operation in Shukbabun area.

As joint team of forces intensified the combing operation, the militants hiding in the area opened fire triggering off an encounter, an official said.
