Srinagar: Srinagar district administration has decided to impose restrictions on Wednesday to prevent Muharram processions in the capital city.

Reports said that the district administration, Srinagar will impose restrictions under Sec 144 CrPC in the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Police Stations Shaheed Gunj, Batmaloo, Sher Garhi, Karan Nagar, Kothibagh, Maisuma, Kral Khud, Ram Munshi Bagh and Nehru Park Police Post of Srinagar, to prevent the Muharram 8 processions.

The district authorities have also decided to put traffic diversions at Radio Kashmir Crossing, Dalgate, Regal Chowk and Fire Service Crossing.
