AWANTIPORA: Employees of Power Development Department (PDD) on Tuesday protested against government to privatise the Jammu Kashmir Power Development Department.
Employees of different areas of Tral and Awantipora, under the banner of PDD employees association, assembled at Awantipora, raised slogans against government’s policy of privatisation.
Forum circle secretary Pulwama, Syed Ghulam Mohiudin said that authorities are themselves responsible for ‘all the mess, due to which they were forced to go for protests today.’
“We are scheduled to go for strike from 24th of September,” he said, adding that the strike will only be deferred ‘if government revokes the decision before the said date.’
