AGH militant detained in Ganderbal

Ganderbal:  Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested one active militant affiliated with Ansar Gazwatul Hind in Ganderbal district.

Police spokesman said that one active militant namely @Talha Umair @Abu Hamza affiliated with AGUH of Sehpora Ganderbal who had joined the militancy in  2018, ‘has been detained with persistent efforts of District Police Ganderbal and his family.’

“The main handler namely Ishfaq Ahmad Dar S/O: Abdul Majeed Dar R/O: Sehpora Ganderbal who has been instrumental in persuasion to join militancy of the subject has also been detained by Police Ganderbal for questioning, ” he said.

Police added a few more arrests are also expected relevant to the case.

“Since the subject has been found involved in the weapon snatching case at Hazratbal earlier this year, so investigation, questioning in this regard is also going on,” he said.
