Kupwara: A RRT teacher was placed under suspension after alleged attempt to molest a girl student within school vicinity at government upper primary school lilam  villagam in northern Kashmirs kupwara district.
The suspension order was passed on Monday.
The  teacher at government upper primary school lilam took a girl student into a deserted  classroom, when all other staff members and students had gone to offer Friday prayers.
Upon trying to overpower the girl and molest her, the girl cried for help, students within the school vicinity rushed for help and saved the girl from the teacher who allegedly tried to molest her, a teacher of  the school said, wishing not to be named.
The teacher was identifued as, Hilal Ahmad an RRT Teacher posted at Government Upper Primary School Lillam villagam.
Soon after the incident surfaced, department placed the said teacher under suspension wide  order number 1045- 49, and attached him to the office of Deputy Chief Education Office  Handwara till future orders.
“We have placed the said teacher under suspension and and inquiry has been launched to probe the incident, Deputy CEO has been made inquiry officer,” CEO kupwara Shafiq Nabi War Said.
