Govt forms 8-memebr State level Committee for export promotion

Srinagar: The state government on Wednesday constituted a State level committee for export promotion to facilitate policy and strategy planning for filling up of infrastructure and logistics gap in the State to promote trade and commerce in general & State exports.
Headed by Administrative Secretary, Industries and Chairman Commerce Department, the 8-member committee has been tasked to facilitate policy and strategy planning for filling up of infrastructure and logistics gaps in the State to promote Trade and Commerce in general and State Exports in particular; ensure effective implementation of Trade Infrastructure for Export Scheme (TIES) in the State of J&K; take necessary decisions on export promotion issues pertaining to the State of J&K; and meet once in a quarter as far as possible. The committee shall be serviced by the Industries & Commerce Department, the government added.
