Tral :  Silk farmers in Tral are asking for government to come to their rescue and demanded a sale centre for the sub district.
A group of aggrieved farmers talking to INS said that, they are facing immense problems and huge loss due to the lack of silkworm sales centre in Tral, which according to them is a long pending demand.
“We are facing hardships in absence of Silkworm sale centre in Tral. We request authorities to look into the matter as early as possible,” a farmer said.
They said that silk farming being the premier industry should have sales centre in Tral to satisfy large number of farmers here.
A delegation of farmers said that, Tral is considered as the leading town in silk farming as most of the people here are engaged to this industry as compared to other parts of Kashmir.
“We should have our own sales centre as we are leading in silk farming”, they said.
They demanded that a centre should be established in the area to mitigate the problems.
