Srinagar: The activists and leaders of Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) Tuesday staged a protest against the civilian killing in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.

JRL activists and leaders assembled outside the historic Jamia Masjid while carrying the banners displaying the image of a slain civilian and reading slogans were chanting slogans against the civilian killing.

Led by Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik,  the protesters demanded an immediate end to the civilian killing s across the Valley especially in southern districts, saying that the people in Southern district are facing the worst form of ‘state terrorism’.

Condemning the civilian killing in Pulwama, they said that “the forces in south Kashmir are killing the people on their own will.”

They said that “people of Kashmir are facing the atrocities from last many decades and despite oppression this resistance will continue till the achievement of the sacred goal.”

Earlier on Monday, a youth identified as Fayaz Ahmad Wani was killed during the clashes that erupted in Gasoo village of Pulwama district after forces launched a massive search operation in a dozen of villages following the tip off about the presence of militants
