Missing boy’s body recovered in Kangan

Ganderbal: Police on Saturday recovered body of a missing youth from power canal at Panzin village in jurisdiction of police station Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District.

SHO Kangan Kursheed Awan said that locals informed them about the body.

“Police team immediately rushed to the spot and retrieved the dead body from the power canal with the help of Locals,” he said.

The deceased has been identified as Shakeel Ahmad Awan 25 son of Mohd Aslam Awan resident of Satrina Kangan who was missing since July 9.

Police have taken cognizance of the case and investigation has been launched.
