Clashes in Shopian over SC hearing Art 35A petition: Twenty two injured, six referred to Sgr

Shopian: Twenty two persons were injured including six who were referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment, during clashes that broke out between the government forces and people in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

CMO Abdul Rasheed said that they have shifted six of the injured to Srinagar as there injuries were grievous in nature.

“Twenty two persons  with injuries were brought to medical facility,” he said.

As  the fake news about hearing of a petition challenging Article 35 A, spread scores of the people mostly youth assembled at Gol Lal Chowk in Shopian and clashed with forces, resulting in injuries to four youth.

The injured youth were later shifted to Shopian hospital for the treatment.
