Pulwama: Policeman succumbs

Srinagar: A policeman who was critically injured in an attack by unknown gunmen, suspected to be militants, at Louswani area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, has succumbed to injuries.

Sources said that the policeman, Mohammad Yaqoob, was fired upon from point blank range near his residence at Louswani area, critically injuring him. He was immediately removed to district hospital rom where he was shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment. However, he succumbed to the injuries on way to Srinagar, the sources added.
