Kupwara: The residents of langate area of northern Kashmir’s on Monday held a protest demonstration seeking body of one of the five militants killed in Rafiabad woods.

Dozens of locals along relatives and family members of slain militants assembled in main market langate, demanding mortal remains of their  kin.

Muzaffer Ahmad son of Bashir Ahmad Mir, according to their  family members is one among the five militants killed an a gunfight at Rafiabad woods on 8 August.

Protesters blocked Baramulla-Handwara highway, besides this all the business establishments and shops were closed.

Father of the slain militant said that I have provided the sample for DNA test twice, ‘but still authorities  are delaying the process of handing over the body of my son’.

Protestes were going on in the area when this report was filed
