TRAL : Complete shutdown is being observed in Tral area of Pulwama district on Friday against the detention of family members and relatives of some militants by government forces in the area.
All the shops and other business establishments are closed while movement of traffic is also affected in Tral and adjoining areas of the sub district.
Locals alleged that soon after the militant attacks on SPOs in Tral areas, government forces raided the families of some Hizbul Mujahideen militants and their relatives in many areas including Monghama, Gulshanpora, Ameerabad, Seer Jagir and Sherabad, and arrested the family members and relatives of militants.
They said that arrests were made on Tuesday late night after an SPO was shot at in Pastuna village of Tral by suspected militants.
The locals have been demanding immediate release of all the family members and relatives of militants.
Reports said that stone throwing incidents were also witnessed in Tral town on Friday morning.
