Govt Primary School Pampore inundated, demand de-watering, drainage system

Tral : The heavy downpour recently has inundated Primary school at Pampore village, creating problems for students and teachers alike.

Locals said that students as well as staff members of Govt. primary school in Samboora village of Pampore.

The students and staff members talking to INS said that they are facing inconveniences due to lack of drainage facilities in and around the school premises.

They said that, whenever it rains, the school faces water-logging, which compels students to enter and exit from school through backside windows.

“It is very sad that water from nearby areas always submerges our school,” Zahid Ahmad, a student told INS.

“We as well as our students are suffering from many problems as the school is always being water logged. We many times requested concerned authorities to intervene but no concrete step is being taken in this regard,” Headmaster of the school Abdul Waheed said.

DPO education Pulwama, Manzoor Ahmad Khan, told INS that, they have already taken up the issue with DC Pulwama who has directed ACD Pulwama to look into the matter.

“District authorities have assured us that problem will be resolved in 15 days,” Manzoor said
