Four days after killing, Pulwama militant’s name figures in SI shortlist

Srinagar: Four days after his killing in an encounter along with his associate from Al-Badr militant outfit, Khursheed Ahmad Malik has figured in the shortlist for Sub-Inspector post in Jammu and Kashmir Police’s executive wing.
The Chairman Police Recruitment Board (SIs) PHQ, J&K on Tuesday issued a list of the 2181 shortlisted candidates on the basis of merit obtained by them in written examination for their appearance Viva-Voce/Personality Assessment Test.
A B. Tech pass-out, Khursheed had appeared along with hundreds of other aspirants for the Sub-Inspector posts on June 24. Khursheed along with his associate Reyaz Ahmad Dar was killed in the gunfight At Sopore. A soldier was also killed while two other government forces personnel were injured the gunfight on August 3. According to his family, he went missing on July 31.
