Baramulla-  Damaged four years back during 2014 floods the damaged Footbridge at Sheeri area of Baramulla is yet to be repaired.
Residents alleged  that Irrigation Flood and Control department and local administration have failed  to reconstruct the bridge and mitigate people’s problem.
The footbridge is not only causing inconvenience to the residents but also leads to many health issues because of the  heaps of garbage which are seen in the middle of river.
“It has become a hub for dog and other animals creating multiple problems for locals,” they said.
Residents are unable to move to other villages because of the absence of the bridge.
General public appealed authorities to look into the matter so that the residents can access to other place easily.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Nasir Ahmad Naqash told INS that the issue has already come into his notice and hopefully people will have a sigh of relief soon.
