Srinagar: The Supreme Court of India Monday adjourned the hearing on the petitions challenging vires of Article 35A, granting special rights and privileges to permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
The three-bench judge headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra declined the Jammu and Kashmir government’s request for deferment of the case until December this year, reports said.
The hearing was today adjourned because of the absence of the third judge of the bench. The case has been listed for next hearing on August 27, reports said.
