Srinagar: A complete shutdown is being observed in Sopore town and Kupwara in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, on Saturday against the militant killings.
Shops and business establishments are closed and forces have been deployed at many places of Sopore town including at main chowk, tehsil road, Arampora, and chankhan in order to prevent law and order problem.
Earlier authorities have closed down all educational institutions in Sopore division.
In Kupwara as well, shutdown is being observed with a minimal traffic movement.
Two militants  were killed in a brief encounter in Drusoo village in Rafiabad belt of Sopore on early Friday, and were identified as Riyaz Ahmad dar of Naseer abad sopore and Khursheed Ahmad Malik of Aarihal pulwama.
In the gunfight one soldier was also killed identified as sagar vijay kumar and the cop identified as Irfan Ahmad wani also sustained injuries in the operation
In kupwara’s Khumriyal area two militants were killed after being ambushed by government foces on thursday.
