Anantnag:- Indian Orthopedics Doctors Association (IOA) is observing Bone and Joint Week from 1st of August to 7th of August 2018, all over the country. This year the main theme of the week is Road Safety.

In the context of the same Orthopedic department of MMABM Hospital, DH Anantnag under 5he guidance of Dr Majid Mirab Medical Superintendent has also conducted road safety programme on 3rd and 4th of August.

On the 3rd August , Friday Medical Superintendent and his team distributed about 2000 pamphlets about safe driving measures to common people.
The Medical Superintendent and doctors of various specialities of his hospital went out to various mosques of the Anantnag town and distributed IEC material among the targeted people and along the road side to commuters.
On 4th August we also conducted on awareness seminar in collaboration with ARTO Anantnag and Boys Degree College Anantnag, in the auditorium of boys degree colleges from 10am to 12pm

The main aim of the seminar was to make student community cognizant about different modes of RTA, how to assist and rescue a road traffic victim, and how to drive safely.

Many lectures on safe road driving delivered by doctors, writers, ARTO and District Administrator.
Programme ended on high note and was hailed by common stock of the people. It was further decided such like programmes shall be conducted for the betterment of society
