Govt  brings officers, officials working in Delhi under control of Principal Resident Commissioner

Srinagar: With a view to ensuring accountability and greater synergy, the government on Thursday ordered that the officers/officials posted in various offices of J&K Government/PSUs at New Delhi shall henceforth be under the immediate administrative control of the Principal Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi.

“It is further ordered that: The heads/controlling officers of these offices shall report their activities/progress to the Principal Resident Commissioner as well as their respective Administrative Departments,” reads an order issued here by the government.

The Principal Resident Commissioner, as per the order, shall hold periodic review of these offices and send reports to the concerned Administrative Department as well as GAD alongwith recommendations. “The heads/controlling officers as well as their subordinates shall not leave their headquarters without the prior approval1 permission of the Principal Resident Commissioner,” it added.
