Sex Racket Busted In Rajouri, 11 Persons Booked

Rajouri:  Police have busted a sex racket here and have booked eleven persons in the case  while three person have been detained so far.

Police had received a complaint from a girl belonging to Rajouri that she has been forced into illegal moral trafficking (sex racket) by a boy who took his phone number from a shop in Rajouri town where she went to get her phone recharge.

“She complained that she was forced into this sex racket and was even blackmailed and mentioned about involvement of eleven persons in this racket,” police said.

Sensing gravity of the complaint, a team of police headed by Additional SP Nowshera, Master Popsy along with SHO Nowshera Romal Singh conducted initial investigation and found ‘the complaint to be based on facts after which a case FIR No.150/2018 U/S Immoral Traffic (Prevention )Act ,370(A), 376 RPC has been registered in Police Station Nowshera and eleven boys belonging to Patta and a couple of other villages of Nowshera have been booked.’

The apokeaman said that team has also detained three persons so far and they will be put to test identification parade under legal framework while police team headed by Additional SP Nowshera, Master Popsy under the supervision of SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas is investigating the case.

Detention of more people from Nowshera as well as from Rajouri is on cards.
