BASHARAT RASHID

TRAL: Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers staged protests in Tral area of South Kashmir on Saturday morning to demand implementation of 7th pay commission.

The protests were held near ZEO office main town Tral and ZEO office Lurgam, in which large number of SSA teachers participated.

They also demanded de-linking of their salary from Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) to state.

The teachers alleged that despite back to back requests, authorities failed to fulfill their demands.

They were chanting slogans in favour of their demands and in praising of Qayoom Wani and appealed authorities to fulfill their demands as soon as possible.
