Islamabad: A complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Islamabad and Kulgam districts on Thursday against the killings of two militants in Islamabad district.

Reports said that all shops, business establishments, government and private offices remained closed while public transport is off the roads.

According to reports, government forces have been deployed in sensitive areas in twin districts of south Kashmir to avoid any untoward incident.

Earlier, two militants identified as Abid Hussain Bhat, son of Wali Mohd Bhat, a resident of Sazan, Bagwah, Doda and Bin Yamin Dar, son of Mohammad Yousuf Dar, a resident of Sofi Mohalla Khudwani Kulgam, were killed during an encounter with government forces at Mehmaan Mohalla Lal Chowk, Islamabad.
