Anantnag update: Two injured including a policeman, civilian during clashes

Anantnag: A policeman and a civilian have been injured in the clashes that erupted in Chee area of Anantnag after Gunfight between militants and government forces erupted that resulted in killing of two militants.

Bodies of both the militants have been retrieved from the encounter site.

“Identification is being ascertained,” officials said.

A policeman recieved injuries in head during stone pelting incident in the area while another civilian was injured as well.

Both according to locals and police officials were evacuated to medical facilities for treatment.

The area is on boil following killing of two militants during gunfight that erupted in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Internet and railway services have been suspended by authorities in the district.

Deputy commissioner Anantnag M Younis Malik told INS that examination being held in the district will be held as per schedule but those who couldn’t make it to centres will be given relaxation and will be arranged for the same paper in future.
