Handwara:Government Forces on Monday arrested a local militant in an Overnight search operation at humpora handwara village in northern Kashmirs kupwara district.

Security forces claimed that, After receiving specific inputs regarding presence of militant in the area, Cordon and search operation was launched.

During the searches in the area one local militant was held  along arms, SFs  claimed.

Officials identified the militant as, Waqar Ahmad Malik son of Abdul Rahman Malik Resident of Check Tulawaru of Handwara divison.

A joint team of 30RR, 92 CRPF and Handwra police apprehended the militant alive along arms and ammunition, Officials said.

One AK47 with 613 live rounds, UBGL 1 and a carrying bag was recovered from the possession of local militant, Officials claimed.
