Police arrests 3 ‘miscreants’ for ‘annoying’ locals in Ganderbal

Ganderbal: Police has arrested three “miscreants” who were ‘annoying’ general public by smoking charas and indulging in other activities in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
A police official said Ganderbal Police during patrolling in Waheed pora area of the district on July 20 held three miscreants for questioning.
“The residents of these areas were showing resentments towards the miscreants who smoke charas and annoy the general public especially the female folks,” the official said.
The trio was questioned when they were trying to conceal themselves and were trying to escape from the spot.
All the three accused persons were presented before the Executive Magistrate 1st class Tullamulla under relevant sections.
DySP HQRs Ganderbal Ashiq Hussain said that the raid was aimed to make the atmosphere of the area free and conducive for respectable citizens especially women folk.
